Official Disclaimer from the Trinidad and Tobago Computer Society (TTCS)

As stated in our recent email, a mailing list called ttcssouth was created on 24 february 2003 by Nigel Mahabir and this mailing list has been promoted as quote: "the Trinidad & Tobago Computer Society South Chapter" unquote.

We wish to inform members of the general public that "ttcssouth" is NOT a "chapter" "sub-section", etc of the Trinidad and Tobago Computer Society. Therefore, it is NOT sanctioned in any way by TTCS Management.

Nigel Mahabir has been advised to cease and desist from using the TTCS name, website or materials associated with the TTCS (e.g. the phrase "Pizza Lime") to promote and/or recruit members to the "ttcssouth" mailing list. Unfortunately, he has ignored our requests.

The Trinidad and Tobago Computer Society supports the formation of local computing related mailing lists or groups, however, such groups are advised not to use the TTCS name or materials associated with the TTCS in their title, mailing list, etc so as to avoid creating confusion in the minds of potential/current members of the group and members of the public.

These groups are separate entities to TTCS and their names, titles, website, general activities, etc should reflect that difference.

NOTE: The term "TTCS" as used to refer to the Trinidad and Tobago Computer Society and the phrase "Pizza Lime™" as used to refer to the regular meetings held/conducted by the TTCS are the property of the Trinidad and Tobago Computer Society and are not in the public domain. They are not to be used to promote events/activities/groups etc not sanctioned by the Management of the Trinidad and Tobago Computer Society.
