All your base are belong to us. The phrase "all your base are belong to us" originated in an english translation of the Japanese video game "Zero Wing". While the game is mediochre at best, this catch-phrase gained international fame when a Flash (.swf) file which combined various images featuring "All your base" graffiti with a song entitled "Invasion of the Gabber Robots" (performed by "The Laziest Men on Mars") was released on the Internet.

Gollum (from the Lord of the Rings trilogy) won the "Best Virtual Performance" at the 2003 MTV Movie Awards. In typical schizophrenic style, Gollum makes an "acceptance" speech in which he verbally abuses everyone, including Lord of the Rings director Peter Jackson.

Hey Ya Charlie Brown

This short film was "thrown together" by Ryan King and Dan Hess. It features characters from the "Peanuts" comic strip dancing to the song "Hey Ya" performed by the band Outkast. United Feature Syndicate (the owners of the copyright for "Peanuts") issued a "cease and desist" to both the creators and the website hosting the file so the clip is no longer officially available on that site.

Pulp Phantom: the animated parody

"Internet killed the video star". eStudio.com has created a parody of the first music video to air on MTV ("Video killed the radio star" by the Buggles). That song heralded the arrival of the era of the music video where video/television took precedence over radio as a means of popular entertainment. Summertime (Minmi)

Music video for the song "Summertime" from Japanese singer Minmi. Minmi has captured the true Soca vibe with lyrics/vocals that encourage listeners to "take ah jump", while the music has the fast electro-drum beats and heavy brass section that typifies most modern Soca songs. The video also captures the Soca spirit as members of the audience enthusiastically wave their "flags" (hand towels, hankies, etc) to the catchy beat.

Tripping the Rift

An Internet cult classic from Dark Bunny productions and White Buffalo Films. The cargo ship "Free Enterprise" is on delivery run when it is intercepted by the Dark Clown himself, Darph Bobo. Commander Chode must defeat Darph Bobo with the help of ship's engineer Gus and first "mate" Six of One. It is usually found in search engines as a Star Trek/Star Wars parody. This animated film was the basis for the SCI-FI channel's original series "Tripping the Rift". There are several differences between the original short film and the tv series.

From the broadcast of the Windows 98 product launch carried live on CNN. A Microsoft employee does a live demonstration of the Windows 98 "Blue Screen of Death" for Bill Gates and several million people in the television audience.
